Nursing Home Chef
Hourly Rate: Up to £14.50

Qualifications
* Food Hygiene Certified - Level 2 - willing to work towards Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications
* First Aid Certified
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering

Responsibilities
* Plan and prepare nutritious and appetizing meals for residents, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements
* Collaborate with dietitians to create menus that cater to the specific dietary needs of residents
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, upholding high standards of cleanliness
* Monitor inventory and handle supply orders as necessary
* Work closely with other team members to uphold a high standard of food quality and service
* Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays
Skills
* Previous experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality environment
* Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various culinary techniques
* Understanding of nutrition and the ability to craft menus that meet dietary requirements
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Effective time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and protocols
* Capability to train and oversee kitchen staff
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
