A global leader in the vitamins, minerals and supplements is currently looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their ever-growing team.
Due to high demands in the business, they are looking for an individual to carry out daily manufacturing operations in a safe, disciplined, effective, and efficient manner, in line with company policies, the GMP, and specific requirements defined by the production Management Team. This is a temporary to permanent position.
Rates of Pay:
£19.01 per hour
Hours of Work:
06:00-18:00 Saturday & Sunday (must be flexible to support night shift also)

Duties to Include:
1. Lead a small team of staff members and collaborate closely with other departmental functions.
2. Supervise production lines, guaranteeing punctual and complete execution of the production plan via proper setup of both machinery and personnel.
3. Foster a positive, collaborative workspace that bolsters teamwork and enhances team performance engagement.
4. Advocate for a positive culture within the team, leading by example, while consistently upholding 100% compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and housekeeping regulations.
5. Manage the protocol of line startup checks to ensure they are completed by staff and that no Health and Safety or quality issues are identified.
6. Complete all production and quality documentation accurately and clearly.
7. Comply with all cleaning requirements to ensure all equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized and required hygiene performance is always maintained.
8. Manage stocks to ensure correct rotation is achieved, wastage is kept to a minimum, and all stock is counted and recorded as required.
9. Delegate tasks effectively to staff, routinely checking to ensure task completion.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. Management / Leadership i.e. ILM, NEBS, NVQ's or equivalent.
2. Ideally 2 years' working in GMP or food processing environment, including at least 1 years' line management / supervision experience.
3. Determined and capable of self-development to very high standards of supervision.
4. Able to demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt.
5. Very goal-oriented, energetic, and tenacious.
6. Real commitment to GMP.
7. Computer literate and familiar with MS Office programs.
8. Proven analytical and report writing skills.
9. Successful record in training of personnel.
10. Able to communicate persuasively at all levels, motivate individuals and instill teamwork.
11. Effective and proactive team worker who takes and demonstrates responsibility.
12. Can demonstrate effective performance management of direct reporting staff.
13. Organized in approach to ensure tasks are delivered on time.
14. Effective delegator.
