The Lion King London – Swing Stage Technician
Disney Theatrical Group are looking for a Swing Stage Technician to work on the London production of The Lion King in its 25th Anniversary year.

This upcoming role is an opportunity for a keen and motivated individual to work in the Stage Department on Disney’s The Lion King on a fixed-term basis. Working with the Head of Stage and other members of the Stage Department to ensure the smooth running of the show.
Job Title: Swing Stage Technician
Position: Fixed Term Contract
Location: West End, London
Reports To: Head of Stage
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist Head Of Department to ensure the smooth running of all rehearsals and performances.
2. Assist on any day-to-day changes that might impact the running of the Production.
3. Assist Head Of Department to teach new members of staff and deps.
4. Attend rehearsal, technical, dress, and understudy rehearsals as required.
5. Maintain and repair aspects of the production as instructed and dictated by the artistic requirements and under the direction of department Head, Production Manager, and Resident Creative Team.
6. Handle any problems that occur during performances quickly and calmly.
7. Report and feedback show and staff related issues in a timely manner.
8. Work in accordance with the Health And Safety Policy and maintain a good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation and good working practices.
9. Liaise closely with Disney’s Health and Safety Manager to ensure that the Health And Safety Policy is followed.
10. Work closely and in conjunction with the Company Manager.

3. Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills with cast, creative and production team essential.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and use of own initiative.
5. A full awareness of need for integrity and confidentiality.
6. Ability to work at height.
7. Knowledge of maintaining stage Props and scenic painting.
8. Confident with power tools and basic carpentry.
9. Experience in a similar role within a large-scale musical production working with an international cast is highly desirable.
10. Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
11. A strong team player.
12. Ability to follow instructions and department rules.
13. A motivated individual driven to learn new skills and understand what is required to maintain a consistent high production standard.
14. Discretion and ability to work closely with others.
15. Well organised across all work.
Additional Information:
1. Fixed Term Contract – Spring 2025 start, opening summer 2025.
2. 48 hours per week.
3. Weekend and evening work integral (Tuesday to Sunday show schedule).
4. This role will require the candidate to understand and follow the Health and safety rules & regulations at the production.
