Job Description:
As a Store Manager at Morrisons Daily, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the essence of a 'shopkeeper', overseeing the operations of a convenience store within our dynamic retail environment. Your dedication to customer service, team empowerment, and community engagement will be instrumental in driving the success of our store.
Job Summary:
In this key position, you will report directly to the Area Manager and be responsible for:
1. Fostering a customer-centric ethos that resonates with McColl's Retail Group's values, continuously innovating to elevate the customer journey.
2. Driving the commercial performance of the store with an entrepreneurial approach, consistently seeking avenues for growth.
3. Managing all facets of team development, including recruitment, training, and fostering a culture of excellence in customer service.
4. Establishing strong community ties to emphasize the store's integral role in supporting local residents.
Duties:
1. Lead and motivate your team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain operational excellence.
2. Implement strategic sales initiatives and effective sales management techniques to boost revenue.
3. Oversee inventory control, merchandising strategies, and store aesthetics to optimize profitability.
4. Ensure adherence to company policies and standards while creating a safe and welcoming store environment.
5. Develop efficient administrative processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in fast-paced retail, convenience, or hospitality settings is advantageous.
2. Proven track record in identifying and nurturing talent within teams.
3. Proficient in coaching and inspiring teams towards shared objectives.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships and fostering teamwork.
5. Ability to adapt to changing environments and adept problem-solving skills.
