About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced internal exclusion room supervisor to join our team in a thriving West London secondary school. This is a crucial role that plays a vital part in supporting students and ensuring a positive learning environment for all. Responsibilities: Supervise students placed in the internal exclusion room for behavioral concerns, ensuring a safe and calm environment. Implement the school's internal exclusion procedures consistently and fairly. Maintain clear and concise records of incidents and student behavior. Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to identify the root causes of student behavior issues. Develop and implement strategies to de-escalate situations and promote positive behavior change in students. Provide support and guidance to students placed in the internal exclusion room, fostering reflection and a return to positive learning behaviors. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding internal exclusion procedures and student progress. Qualities & Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students facing behavioral challenges. A strong understanding of positive behavior management techniques and de-escalation strategies. Calm and assertive demeanor with the ability to maintain a safe and controlled environment. Excellent observation and record-keeping skills. A commitment to student well-being and supporting positive behavior change. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
