We are seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Controller, responsible for the day-to-day departmental requirements, working closely with the Manager of Operations & Technical and the Operations Assistant. Primary focus: on meeting agreed customer service levels, stock control, legal compliance, controlling costs, and reducing finished product waste.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the daily volume and quality of work allocated by a supervisor.
2. Monitoring and maintaining the production process to ensure the finished product meets all relevant specifications.
3. Ensure all production activities are monitored to minimize downtime and scrap.
4. Involvement in all monthly stock control audits, ensuring all information is accurate and a double-check system is in place. Report and publish the monthly stock position, ensuring stock variances are investigated, the root cause established, and corrective action taken without delay.
5. Maintain accurate records of goods dispatched and delivered, ensuring electronic systems are updated within 48 hours. Full traceability to be maintained for goods being dispatched, including quantity, production date or best before date, and batch number. Full traceability to be maintained on finished goods, including waste and re-boil products.
6. To carry out all obligations in compliance with the Food Safety Act (1990) and all other subsequent legislation relating to Food Safety and internal company procedures and policies.
7. Forklift trucks and company vehicles - ensure all daily and weekly safety checks are carried out, and relevant documentation is completed and filed. All maintenance schedules to be adhered to, and repairs carried out without delay.
8. Communicate any performance inefficiencies to the supervisor.
9. Other duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
