(We are not currently offering sponsorship for this position) To ensure that all areas of the Home are cleaned to the required standard, using cleaning products, equipment and procedures provided. Key Responsibilities Collecting, washing and drying of all linen used in the Home. Collecting, washing, drying and ironing, if necessary, all personal clothing belonging to the residents according to garment washing instructions. Operation of a clear dirty to clean laundry process. Returning all clean washing to appropriate rooms / areas. Clear dryer filters daily. Restock laundry hand towels, hand gel and antiseptic hand wash as required. Efficient and economical use of supplies provided Being aware and following the COSHH guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment. General cleaning of floors, wall and machinery. Reporting any problems or repairs required to maintenance / line manager. Reporting any discoloured, torn or worn bed linen towels, curtains cushions or bedspreads for repair or replacement. Provide assistance in other areas of the Home as directed by the Line manager / Home Manager. Whilst not expected to provide care, housekeeping/laundry assisting colleagues are expected to speak in a friendly and courteous manner to resident and to alert nursing colleagues of any concerns.
