The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.
We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 - 18. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders, passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.
Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states, 'pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with.'

We're seeking a passionate IT Support Technician to join our IT team at RAAS. You will provide essential support to our school-wide community while developing your technical skills and gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in supporting some or all the following technologies:
* Microsoft Windows (10/11) / Chrome OS
* Google Classroom
* Microsoft 365
* Desktop/Laptop hardware
* Apple devices
* Network printing
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A strong customer service orientation.
* A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Beneficial experience:
* Previous experience working in an education setting not essential but desirable
* Experience with MIS Systems (i.e. SIMS)
* Mobile Device Management (MDM) (i.e. JAMF School)
* Print management systems (i.e. Papercut)
* Understanding the unique needs of a boarding school environment, such as 24/7 IT usage needs, would be a benefit.
