The role will provide project management leadership and direction for major projects and programmes, and support the delivery of the Rolls-Royce Submarines portfolio to deliver the company strategy, business case and business plans. What you will be doing Key accountabilities of the role include: Form part of the Vulcan site, and Vulcan & IFM DBU, senior leadership team, as well as leading a team of project management, and other disciplinary professionals. Ensure appropriate resourcing of the programme in line with current and future needs. Identify internal and / or external customer needs. Develop and execute a strategy to meet those needs. Be accountable for the Vulcan programme and delivering in line with all customer, programme and financial commitments. Lead the integration of major work packages and ensure all programme activities are delivered with account of the full project and product lifecycle and in line with Rolls-Royce company processes. Build and maintain all appropriate internal and external stakeholder relationships. Lead, develop and grow project management capability at Vulcan to support current and future programme requirements, including acting as site Head of Function. Who we’re looking for: To be successful in this role you will need the following: Significant experience in the management and governance of projects and / or programmes of high complexity. Leadership of projects/ programmes across the entire project lifecycle an advantage. Experience in complex working environments essential, with work/ leadership experience in a nuclear environment an advantage. Experience of leading large professional teams, and excellent people engagement and stakeholder management capability. Experience in identifying and setting strategic direction for projects/ programmes. Degree qualified, or equivalent, and holding a senior-level project management qualification (or demonstrable equivalent industrial experience).
