Role - Unity Developer Location - Remote, occassional visits to offices in Southampton Salary - £60k to £70k Start - ASAP The opportunity: This is an amazing opportunity for a Unity Developer to join a start-up who are developing an AR product that utilises AI, and ML; and will transform and enhance safety within an Engineering Maintenance & Repair environment. A prototype has been created and was met with such positivity that grants and funding are now in place and a high-quality team is being recruited to develop the product. Partners from within the Maintenance, Repair and Operations industry are involved in the project so there's a real opportunity to build something that truly solves the problems they want fixing and allows their engineers to safely maintain and repair in the most efficient and compliant way. The Role / Responsibilities: Develop and add AR features using Unity to the software product. Collaborate with the development team to connect AR solutions with other parts of the platform. Make sure AR applications work well on different devices. Solve technical issues in AR development. Thoroughly test AR applications for a top-notch user experience. Document AR systems and solutions in detail. The Person: You will be an experienced Unity Developer looking for a next step and opportunity to create a software platform from scratch that assists maintenance engineers. The product is in its' infancy so that ability to drive development is key. You may have a background in Software House or be associated with a company that is developing a new product. Ideally, you should possess some experience in a Start-up or a business with rapid expansion. Demonstrated experience in AR development with a portfolio of past projects. You'll have a solid knowledge of AR development platforms, particularly Unity and Vuforia (but other products such as Unreal, VRMaker or EasyAR) considered Skills in one or some of the following development laguages: React, Node, Javascript, Java, C# Experience in product development across industries such as aerospace, automotive, aviation, defence would be considered as being highly desirable but not a must. Problem-solving using AR solutions and excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, taking ownership of tasks and proactivity The role is paying up to £70k plus equity and benefits. The main office is in Southampton, Hampshire, and whilst some time will be needed there the role is offered on a hybrid / predominantly remote basis.
