Your Role
* Develop and test a scalable, cloud-based infrastructure on AWS using Python (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB).
* Work on both the frontend and backend of the DiaDEM Platform, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and scalability.
* Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and domain experts to translate complex research challenges into efficient software solutions.
* Implement and optimize machine learning pipelines to enhance materials discovery and prediction models.
* Contribute to architectural decisions and help drive best practices in software development.
* Work effectively within a collaborative team environment, demonstrating strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
Your Profile
* Minimum 5 years of experience writing production code in Python, ideally in scientific computing, AI, or data-intensive applications.
* Degree (M.Sc. or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Engineering.
* Strong backend development skills, particularly with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway).
* Experience with machine learning frameworks and AI-driven applications is a major plus.
* Frontend development skills (React, JavaScript/TypeScript).
* Competent in version control (Git).
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
