Treasury Management Officer (part-time)
Our Finance Team is looking for a Treasury Management Officer to manage the treasury function with the aims of minimising payments of interest and maximising investment returns. You will be responsible for managing the Council’s cash securely, whilst ensuring availability of funds and achieving optimum yield.
You will support our Head of Finance to develop a robust and effective annual Treasury Management Strategy Statement and report against activity on a quarterly basis. We have circa £30 million invested in Local Authorities and Money Market Funds and £58 million of external borrowing. As part of our Finance Team, you will have sole responsibility for the treasury management function and full support will be provided by the Head of Finance and external treasury advisors.
You must be AAT qualified (or equivalent) and have a strong finance and treasury management background. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to quickly build and maintain rapport and good relationships with a varying range of people and be able to work flexibly.
Due to the nature of the role, work is required Monday-Friday however there is some flexibility with the hours of work. This post is hybrid, and the majority of the time can be home working with the occasional days required in the office for business needs.

Job Details
* 20 hrs per week with an annual salary of £19,218 - £21,088pa (Full-time equivalent £34,834 - £38,223pa) (Pay award pending)
