Finance Business Partner- Dundee
The Role
To partner with other business units to provide accurate, relevant and timely information to the business to aid decision making and process changes. Ideally suited to someone looking to develop their career towards becoming a Financial Controller.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of management accounts and accompanying commentary.
* Construction and presentation of Budgets and periodic forecasting and gap analysis on these outputs.
* Involvement in the month end process taking the closed ledgers through discussions with department heads to management accounts.
* Review of transactional data to ensure correct information is carried into the management information packs.
* Partnering with business units to provide insights to allow improvements in departments.
* Supporting the data preparation for the year end audit and liaising with auditors directly to answer queries.
* Point of contact on external surveys.
* Ad hoc analysis as requested by members of the senior leadership team.
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience
* Experience of a similar role together with a relevant accounting qualification and a professional development mindset.
* Excellent Excel knowledge.
* Experienced and skilled at presenting complicated data to non-financial individuals.
* Excellent attention to detail and data cleanliness.
* Strong negotiation and discussion facilitation skills.
* History in using and improving accounting software packages.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience
* Line management experience.
* Experience producing year end accounts.
* Experience running a year end audit.
* Experience using Power BI, Sage or similar.
* Coding ability.
Salary- circa £40K
