Risk & Compliance Solicitor – Chippenham

As a Risk & Compliance Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role reporting directly into the Director of Risk & Compliance. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing policies and procedures, advising on compliance and regulatory matters, and fostering a culture of awareness and adherence throughout the organization.
Key Duties:
* Collaborate closely with the Director of Risk & Compliance to promote a culture of compliance, ensuring all staff comprehend their responsibilities.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance and risk-related queries, offering expert guidance and solutions.
* Develop clear policies and comprehensive training materials to enhance staff knowledge and compliance levels.
* Conduct audits to assess compliance standards across the firm, maintaining regular reviews and training sessions.
* Manage the compliance policy portfolio, including maintaining Lexcel accreditation and overseeing external audits.
* Contribute to the development of performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Risk & Compliance Manager/Solicitor within a law firm is essential.
* Strong understanding of regulations, including SRA standards and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information and produce detailed reports.
