Main duties of the job
G DOC LTD is the GP provider organisation for Gloucestershire. We are a membership organisation: all GP practices in Gloucestershire are shareholders. Our mission is to strengthen general practice by delivering safe, high quality, and innovative primary care.
G DOC works with GPs across the county, to ensure general practice is sustainable and responsive to local needs.
Purpose of the role
To ensure the delivery of safe, high quality, productive, and contractually compliant services at all times.
To provide effective leadership to G DOCs non-clinical managers and operational teams, and to build our reputation as an excellent employer.
Key Attributes Required
* Credibility and experience as a leader.
* Track record of delivering complex operational objectives.
* Passion for improving patient outcomes, especially health inequalities.
About Us
You will be required to be immunised in compliance with Green Book (link attached) and NHS recommendations for your role (unless medically exempt).
From our origins, setting up an urgent care facility in 2008, G DOC has been an innovator. We were the first GP provider in the area to work across different practices, the first to create a membership organisation, and the first to provide primary care services at a countywide level. We have continued to innovate, with our Covid Virtual Ward, one of the most successful in the country; our Parachute nursing service; and our hub and spoke model for GP practices.
We are growing as an organisation, creating a requirement for a more sophisticated infrastructure. You will lead this development, building a robust and resilient organisation that retains flexibility and the appetite for innovation. Reporting to our Chief Executive, you will be a member of our executive team and of the Board, with the opportunity to shape and lead the future strategic direction of the organisation. The successful candidate will bring creativity to the role, and relish the challenge of development and innovation. He or she will enjoy the flexibility and agility of primary care, and the opportunity to be involved of every stage of our delivery process, from service design to day-to-day implementation.
