Independent Reviewing Officer/ Child Protection Chair
1 x post for 37 Hours per week
1 x post for 18.5 hours
Salary = 37 Hours £45,441 - £48,474 per annum
Salary = 18.5 Hours = £22,720.50 - £24,237 per annum
• To chair and review Child Protection Conferences, taking responsibility to ensure that the risk to the child is fully assessed and a plan is developed to safeguard the child.
• To chair reviews of Looked After Children and young people, taking responsibility to ensure that plans for their care meet their needs and are progressing in a timely manner in order to avoid drift and delay.
• To ensure children’s Care and Support and Care and Support Protection Plans are monitored to ensure actions progressed in a timely manner, so that a child’s safety is not compromised.
• To challenge appropriately and effectively where children’s plans are delayed or actions have not been completed in a timely manner.
• To ensure the voice of the child is at the centre of decision making.
