FRS is working with a market leader within their field with a global presence in the search for a Financial Controller to work within there head office. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Finance Leadership: Drive commercial analysis, including pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and investment appraisals. Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making. Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations. Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors. Manage and improve financial reporting systems. Performance Management: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance and identify areas for improvement. Financial Reporting & Control: Oversee financial accounting, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102) and tax regulations (HMRC). Strategic Analysis: Conduct financial modelling and scenario planning to evaluate potential business opportunities and risks. Cost Optimisation: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Working capital management: Drive improvements in working capital. Candidate Profile: ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification or equivalent. Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role. Demonstrated ability to partner with senior management and influence strategic decisions. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers. Advanced financial modelling and analysis skills. Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS 102) and tax regulations (HMRC). Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Proficiency in financial reporting systems and ERP software. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
