We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide comprehensive housing management services, promoting resident independence and social inclusion within our extra care setting. This role involves effective day-to-day housing and tenancy management, and collaboration with external agencies to support residents' health and wellbeing. This role is to be part of our bank staff, meaning you will be provided with hours on a rota as and when required. Some of the key tasks and responsibilities include: Communication: Ensure all information requests are satisfied and understandable. Monitor rent accounts to prevent arrears, and support residents with payment plans. Facility and Tenancy Management: Maintain high standards in managing communal facilities. Assist with property viewings, tenancy sign-ups, and deputise for the manager as needed. Safety and Compliance: Conduct regular checks of fire and emergency-call equipment. Provide responsive and effective service to maximize tenancies. Resident Support: Educate residents on tenancy conditions and legal aspects. Direct residents to support services for budgeting and debt counselling. Establish and verify Housing Benefit claims. Collaboration and Monitoring: Liaise with customer contact centre and contractors for repairs. Record customer interactions on PA’s CRM system. Respond to emergency pull cords and conduct welfare checks. Reporting and Administration: Gather information and provide reports for meetings. Support new colleague induction and participate in a 24-hour rota as needed. Resident Interaction: Demonstrate strong listening skills and respond to residents' problems promptly. Maintenance and Procurement: Supervise communal area maintenance and order supplies. Verify and authorize payment of invoices for work done. Training and System Management: To be successful in this role, we’d be looking for the following… Housing Law Expertise: Strong knowledge of existing housing law and upcoming changes. Sector Insight: Deep understanding of issues affecting the social housing sector and tenants. Policy and Procedure Proficiency: Familiarity with housing policies, procedures, and best practices. Commitment to Equality: Solid understanding of equal opportunities and diversity principles. Technical Skills: Proficiency in housing systems and databases. Maintenance Abilities: Capability to perform light daily cleaning tasks. Physical Requirements: Ability to climb stairs (Scheme Officers cannot use the lift under Health & Safety regulations).
