Our students have often experienced significant barriers to learning and need tailored support to re-engage with education, rebuild trust, and achieve their potential. About the Role: Work closely with students aged [insert age range] who may present challenging behaviour, social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) needs. Support learning in both 1:1 and small group settings across a range of subjects. Build trusting relationships with students to encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and academic progress. Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Contribute to personalised education plans (PEPs) and behaviour support strategies. About You: Experience working with vulnerable children or young people, particularly those with SEMH needs or behavioural challenges (desirable but not essential). Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally. Flexible, proactive, and resilient under pressure. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are beneficial but not essential.
