Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the implementation and oversight of compliance strategies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance risk management frameworks, safeguarding the integrity of our operations.
* Champion a culture of compliance awareness, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
* Manage the Conflicts of Interest register, ensuring that mitigating controls are documented when conflicts are identified.
* Develop training materials on a range of compliance topics.
* Track business performance in identifying, reporting, and managing potential breaches, assessing whether any external regulatory violations may have occurred.
* Support the handling of complaints in line with regulatory, internal, and insurer requirements.
* Assist with the approval of customer documentation, policy wordings, summaries of cover, and IPIDs to ensure compliance with regulatory and insurer obligations.
* Offering comprehensive guidance on compliance matters to key stakeholders and promptly escalating significant compliance concerns to the Head of Risk & Compliance upon discovery.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated expertise in compliance and a strong understanding of insurance industry regulations. Happy to consider broader financial services if there has been some exposure to insurance products.
* Proven experience handling day-to-day compliance activities such as complaints handling, understanding FCA regulations, ICOBS handbooks, financial crime, conflicts of interests, signing off on marketing materials, managing breaches, etc.
* Highly self-motivated with strong organisational skills. Capable of managing workload independently and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
* CII qualifications preferred (or working towards).
* Flexible working environment - 2 days per week in office.
