I am excited to partner with a leading manufacturing company based in Leeds who has a vacancy for an Engineering Team Leader to join their team. The successful Engineering Team Leader will lead a small maintenance team and ensure that the onsite operation runs smoothly.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small friendly team working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary. Candidates with a multi-skilled background coming from the Royal Navy, British Army, or Royal Air Force are encouraged to apply.
Engineering Team Leader Responsibilities:
1. Conduct daily maintenance tasks with the team and take the lead on escalating breakdowns.
2. Liaise with the Planning department to schedule routine maintenance and assign maintenance tasks to the engineers.
3. Ensure any new machinery defects reported to maintenance are assigned to an engineer and that defect rectification is conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
4. Maintain stock control of engineering stores to identify and order all required spares/parts.
5. Attend Risk Observation and Continuous Improvement meetings to offer opinions and solutions and be responsible for planning and assigning any maintenance actions.
6. Manage 5S within the department.
Engineering Team Leader Requirements:
1. Hold level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering.
2. Must be multi-skilled and have strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
3. Demonstrable background in leading a team.
4. Good organization skills.
