- Salary: £90-£100 per day
- Days: Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the patience and skills to make a meaningful difference in a young person's life?
We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with SEMH needs who experiences frequent dysregulation. This role requires a calm, nurturing approach to help the pupil manage emotions, develop positive behaviours, and engage fully in school life.
This long-term role offers the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support engagement and emotional regulation
- Facilitate nurture-based activities and structured learning inside and outside the classroom
- Act as a positive role model, helping to develop social and emotional skills
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to implement EHCP strategies
- Assist in creating and maintaining individual behaviour support plans
- Experience working in a primary school, ideally Key Stage 2
- Strong behaviour management skills with experience supporting children with SEMH and SEND
- Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, emotion coaching, and de-escalation techniques
- Experience working with looked-after children (LAC) is desirable
- Team Teach training or similar behaviour management qualifications are an advantage
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
- A two-form entry primary school with a strong focus on inclusion and wellbeing
