Job Description
*You and Your Team:*
As a Sales Team Leader, you will be reporting to our Direct Sales Manager. Working within our growing Direct Sales team, our Sales Team Leader will motivate, drive, and monitor the activity in the team to maximise productivity and morale.
The Sales Team Leader will be managing a growing team of 5 Direct Sales Consultants and an Administrator. Our Direct Sales team play a key part in the growth of Moneybarn – you will be responsible to promote this culture, using data driven metrics and people management to get the best of your team to ensure we are increasing our inbound sales while putting the customer at the forefront of all activities.
Our Direct Sales Team have adapted a hybrid approach, working from home and the office. When in the office, our Direct Sales Team predominantly sit in Petersfield – but our Team Leader can work from our other locations in Chatham or Bradford.
In your day-to-day role, as a Sales Team Leader you will:
1. Motivating the sales team, monitoring activities, call volumes and service levels and taking appropriate action to optimise productivity.
2. Help develop our Direct Sales Consultants – monitoring, developing, and coaching to enhance individual performance.
3. Monitor calls to ensure procedures and quality standards are being met and provide feedback to improve sales performance and customer service.
4. Interpret data to be able to understand team activity and performance levels.
5. Be actively involved in the sales process handling complex or escalated calls from customers and be able to assist in the sales process when volumes require.
6. Understand staffing requirements and be able to flex staff on different marketing campaigns to maximize sales. Maintain the correct staffing levels to meet business needs. Interview and recruit new staff to support the team’s growth.
7. Responsible for operating our RSCA controls and identifying if there’s a gap. Work with first line audits and ongoing evaluation of processes and procedures, making recommendations for change, to drive increased sales and lean efficiencies.
8. Adhere to the FCA Conduct rules.
