We are looking for a talented SEN Teacher to take on a class of 10 students at a school in the local area. The role is temporary to cover a long-term absence at the school. The role offers full-time hours up to February half-term, with potential to continue into the Easter term.
The school seeks someone proactive and highly skilled with SEN students. The ideal candidate should be able to work autonomously, supported by staff at the school, but confident in leading a group of 10 students in the classroom.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
* A clear understanding of the needs of pupils with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties and autism.
* Ability to plan and implement effective classroom practice and management.
* The ability to develop specific curriculum areas tailored to the school's needs.
* Capability to work as part of a class team and to direct support staff efficiently.
* Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams, including health, social services, and educational professionals.
* A commitment to working in partnership with parents.
* An understanding of and commitment to the Trust’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
