We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school environment. The Role:
As an HLTA, you will work closely with class teachers to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, delivering targeted interventions, supervising classes in the absence of the teacher, and providing general support for student's academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons and activities.
* Lead small group interventions to support students with specific learning needs.
* Supervise and support students within the classroom and during activities, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
* Provide feedback on student progress, behaviour, and areas for improvement to teachers.
* Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies.
* Help with the preparation and adaptation of resources to meet the needs of students.
* Take responsibility for leading a class in the absence of the teacher, following appropriate plans.
* Monitor and track student's progress, helping to identify and address any barriers to learning.
* Promote the well-being and personal development of all students.
Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent (Level 4 or higher).
* Experience working in a school setting, with a strong understanding of classroom practices.
* A good understanding of the national curriculum and teaching strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Experience leading small group interventions or working one-on-one with students is desirable.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environment.
* A passion for supporting student's academic and personal growth.
