Job Description:
For many fans of Formula One, the sport exists between lights and chequered flag on a Sunday afternoon. It begins and ends with the exploits of the drivers on the track. But this is merely the tip of the spear. The reality of modern F1 is that of a complex and intertwined operation, every part of which needs to perform near its limit if success is to be achieved. From the pit crew searching for the ultimate repeatable pit stop, to the inspiration of the designers, the application of engineers and the herculean efforts of an army of fabricators and machinists. Much of our success is thanks to the diversity of thought and spectrum of skill sets held within the team, our ability to recognise unique contributions from individual team members is just a part of why we love what we do.
Red Bull Technology is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician (Event Support) to assist the team for the 2025 season and beyond.
In this position, you will be part of the Hydraulics & Power Unit team (chassis side) supporting events. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of car system hydraulics, engine kitting, and other sub-assembly activities during events and will assist in the build, service, and maintenance of assemblies when at the factory.
Your responsibilities:
* Build, service, and maintain all assemblies upon request of the Assembly Group Team Leaders, Head of Assembly (Chassis), or Race Team Chief Mechanic to support Race, Test, or VTC events.
* Become an integral member of the Assembly Group and Race Team ensuring there is free and open discussion to promote ideas and initiatives for continuous improvement.
* Maintain assemblies in accordance with Production Control Group processes for all build specifications, revision control, component lifing, and hardware allocations.
* Ensure all Design updates are captured through the use of the company CSI Index.
* Manage assembly and component stock levels in conjunction with Production Control EPM Group.
* Communicate all build quality issues to the Race Team Chief Mechanic and appropriate key stakeholders to ensure all faults are recorded on internal business systems.
* Responsible and accountable for delivering objectives on time and escalating any problems identified whilst working unsupervised.
* Support and assist with other Race Team activities upon request of the Race Team Chief Mechanic.
* Operate in accordance with the company Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines.
Who you are:
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar industry or line of work, and you must have a flexible approach to working hours. At Red Bull Technology, we will require you to work in a professional and positive manner, representing the team to the highest standards.
Not only is this a fantastic Assembly Technician position, but it is also a fantastic team to work with here at Red Bull Technology. A good salary is just the start; there are many other benefits too such as our bonus scheme, private health care cover, life assurance scheme, workplace nursery scheme, company-contributed pension scheme, on-site gym & fitness classes, free daily food allowance, and a cycle to work scheme; but above all, the job satisfaction doesn’t get any better than the feeling of making a real contribution to our championship-winning grand prix cars.
