Responsibilities:
* As a Senior Operations Specialist, you will take on key accountabilities including:
* Leading operational capability development tasks to meet schedule, cost, and quality in support of our Nuclear Threat Reduction (NTR) Operations program.
* Overseeing the development and deployment of AWE operational response capabilities.
* Managing the overarching configuration control and maintenance for specialist detection instruments, ensuring they are maintained, stored, and configured according to agreed processes.
* Handling procurement, configuration, and through-life management of operational equipment and other assets.
* Leading quality assurance efforts in areas like electrical testing and calibration of instruments.
* Planning, delivering, and reporting on exercises and associated validation activities.
* Capturing and recording lessons learned and identifying gaps, then coordinating action plans accordingly.
* Providing fit-for-purpose technology or capabilities used by the operational response team that meet customer expectations, including aspects of configuration, maintenance, and quality control.
