Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > England North (40887186) The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind farms within UK. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our growth. Responsibilities Electrical and mechanical fault finding Component replacements, repairs and upgrades Supporting large component exchange activities like gearboxes, generators and transformers Usage of our internal systems like Condition Monitoring / Remote Control You will work with low and high voltage systems, carrying out periodic and reactive maintenance on both You will be required to work to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met, you will be part of a team of technicians working throughout the region Other responsibilities will be to carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas specifications together with component replacement (both electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) and troubleshooting on the systems Qualifications Experience with a mechanical, electrical or electronics background, with good solid evidence of problem-solving and fault-finding. (an AT/CT under WTSR) Formal qualification in at least one of the above or have served an apprenticeship The ability to work at height of 100 meters and in adverse weather conditions Full, clean driving license Fluency in English in speaking and writing A good level of computer literacy, used to software, apps and related Competencies Competencies Required Great proven problem solving and fault-finding skills You like working in a team and communicate with other parts of the organisation A creative approach, being self-motivated and well organised Good verbal and written communication skills, both internal and externally A good understanding of, and commitment to, the highest standard of health & safety in the work environment What We Offer We offer the chance to work in a leader in industry, with the training and development to match.
