Job Description
This role is responsible for supporting the Global Operations Transition manager to deliver the Operations Optimisation programme and in particular the migration of 20+ entities from legacy Operations systems to our global ERP system, D365, representing the areas of Manufacturing Engineering management. Providing functional leadership to Factory manufacturing engineers and to provide technical leadership and consultation to resources at both peer and junior levels.
This is an 18m FTC role, on a hybrid basis (3 days office/2 days home). There is an expectation of travel, within Europe and Intercontinentally as required.
Responsibilities
1. Execute Rotork Business System Audits in readiness for system implementation, develop GAP analysis detail and deliver & execute a programme to remove gaps prior to system deployment.
2. Act as a point of contact for the D365 Implementation Programme and as the conduit between the programme and the Operations Function for the Manufacturing Engineering functional area.
3. Lead Global, Site Leadership and SMEs through change management to adopt the core D365 operations solution.
4. Coordinate/provide the relevant SME/functional resources as required to support delivery of the D365 /Target Operating Model transformation programme.
5. Maintain business process maps for operations.
6. Support and Govern Site readiness for sites in transition.
7. Prepare the content for any change management workshops, taking users through the key areas of change, drawing out high level discussion on potential changes between as "is" and "to be".
8. Work with the Operations Transition manager to consider if change from the global process can be accepted and if the difference will be managed through configuration or Change Management.
9. Where additional localisation is required, work with the Operations Team, IT to translate Operations needs into system configuration requirements.
10. Where the change from current ways of working needs to be managed, identify, monitor and manage any actions required to prepare for and embed the change.
Qualifications
Essential
1. Manufacturing engineering leadership for a business manufacturing configured engineered products.
2. Detailed understanding of processes within Manufacturing and between Manufacturing and Engineering.
3. Operations process development and change leadership.
4. Lean / continuous improvement tools and techniques and demonstrated application in a manufacturing setting.
5. Experience of engineering packages such as Solid Edge and LabVIEW.
6. Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and application within manufacturing.
Desirable
1. Educated to degree or equivalent level in an engineering discipline.
2. Experienced in the introduction of a new ERP system into a manufacturing operation.
3. Experience of quality control, statistics and capability study, 6 sigma.
4. Experience of MRP (Material requirements planning).
