Role: Student Services Coordinator
Location: Corby Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary between £24,000 (pro rata) DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Peoples pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Senior Student Services Coordinator to join The Bedford College group at our Student Services Department.
As a Student Services Coordinator you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. To work with the Student Services Manager to ensure effective delivery of careers information, advice and guidance to Bedford College Group Students and potential students
2. To work closely with the Student Services Manager in the design and delivery of a cross-college Careers programme for students
3. To lead and implement the bursary process, to assess any applications for financial support and provide advice and guidance to students in need
4. To provide a personal service, offering support or referral for pastoral, health/welfare and financial matters.
About you:
5. Good all round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent level (level 2)
6. Level 3 qualification (e.g. ‘A’ Levels or equivalent)
7. High level of computer literacy skills
8. Level 6 Qualification in Careers Guidance or willingness to work towards
9. Successful experience of working with adults and young people, both 1:1 and in groups
10. Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
11. Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
12. Experience of organising events and activities
13. Experience of providing information, advice and guidance on learning and work
14. Experience of working effectively in a customer focussed environment
15. Experience of project work and meeting deadlines
16. Proven ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
17. Proven ability to demonstrate excellent organisation and planning skills
18. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
19. Ability consistently to create a welcoming and supportive environment for students and/or customers
20. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
