Job Description
Our client is a high-output, automated manufacturing business. To keep up with demand and drive improvements, they are looking for talented engineers to enhance efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure seamless operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment breakdowns.
2. Identify and address ongoing engineering challenges.
3. Champion their CMMS system, ensuring all maintenance data is logged effectively.
4. Play a key role in supporting site-wide equipment functionality.
5. Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for major breakdowns.
6. Implement corrective actions and efficiency-boosting projects.
7. Work closely with fellow maintenance engineers to execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
What We’re Looking For:
1. A time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
3. Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to inspire those around you.
4. Strong problem-solving skills, even under pressure.
5. A meticulous approach to reporting and documentation.
6. Solid understanding of engineering best practices and Health & Safety protocols.
7. Experience with PLC fault finding (but not essential).
8. Knowledge of resistance welding and 6-axis robots (advantageous).
