Job Overview:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Business Change Team at Damart. Reporting to the Head of Change, the role will be responsible for managing a wide range of initiatives from system changes to transformation activities, covering different business areas and functions. An integral role in all key business change projects, you will actively help to shape and deliver strategic projects to drive the business forward.
This is a permanent full time position (36.5 hours per week), working hybrid - Monday and Friday from home and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in the Bingley Office
Key Responsibilities
* Work with the business stakeholders to gather, understand and document detailed business requirements, identifying impacts on IT systems, business processes, data and people, whilst keeping the customer at the heart of every step.
* Analyse, challenge and document system and business processes and identify where improvements can be made.
* Be the link between IT and business teams throughout the lifecycle of the change.
* Create, update and issue the required Company Project Documentation, showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
* Lead on-site and remote workshops with different stakeholder groups to capture and challenge business requirements, and to secure support for proposed changes.
* Play a key role in creating test plans and coordinate the design and execution of test scenarios and test scripts.
* Act as a coach to project team members to explain, direct and ensure implementation of the required project methodology, documentation and change management tools to ensure successful project and change outcomes.
* Feed into business cases and cost benefits analysis to ensure any changes are fit for purpose and benefits are realised.
Skills & Experience
* Comprehensive experience in a business analyst role, ideally in the retail sector.
* Business and commercially minded with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive the business forward.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues at all levels.
* Highly analytical mindset, having the ability to analyse large data sets and propose data-driven solutions.
* Practical experience in delivering complex projects and/or programmes of work.
* Have the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business language.
* Experience of leading technology change across software and infrastructure, using different project delivery methodologies.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
