The Opportunity:
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Auditor to join our team. As the Quality Auditor, you will play a key part in supporting the maintenance and improvement of quality standards. This opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Position: Full time/ Permanent
Salary: £26,000
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday from 06:00 - 15:00, including a one-hour lunch break.
Location: Manchester (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Technical Manager in all aspects of site quality assurance.
* Conduct regular product reviews against Quality Assurance Standards, including organising and leading taste panels.
* Assist in traceability assessments and contribute to HACCP meetings.
* Ensure internal and external audits are completed as scheduled.
* Raise food safety and quality concerns for investigation.
* Ensure all testing and procedures comply with standard methods, Codes of Practice, and customer specifications.
* Manage trackers, including quarantine and non-conformances.
* Verify paperwork in line with site standards.
* Coordinate calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
* Oversee sample collection, including microbiological and retained samples.
* Manage external laboratory testing coordination.
* Liaise with the Technical Assistant and Technical Manager to maintain quality standards.
* Support site audits, technical inspections, and visits by providing necessary information.
* Assist in training the site team on quality and food safety procedures.
* Work closely with the production department to ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
Person Specification:
* Knowledge of HACCP preferable.
* Food Hygiene and/or Food Safety Qualifications are an advantage.
* Experience of working in a food or beverage production QA environment.
* PC literate.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Able to plan and organise work efficiently and effectively.
