PA required for a chatty, people-loving, 15 year old girl with autism, who needs support at home, on journeys and at sport or other activities. She wants growing up and friendship-building to get easier, so the PA we're looking for, isone who'd help her gradually increase her independent ability to socialise, manage herself, her own time, her own tasks, her own safety and her home environment.
Her biggest two challenges currently are; staying focused enough to learn, socialising and take part in activities and staying confident in herself when something isn't achievable straight away. She currently attends mainstream school with the assistance of a full-time 1:1 teacher.
This role would suit a lively, confident and patient person with a clear voice, who has experience of supporting children with social and communication needs. It would be a real bonus if you're also creative and or musical like she is.
