About the Job
You will oversee the performance of both insourced and outsourced buildings claims, ranging from low to high complexity. Support the development of technical standards and professional skills to ensure excellence in claims handling, safeguarding customer experience, indemnity spend, and operational efficiency through a robust governance framework.
You will be responsible for the oversight of customer journey and indemnity spend on buildings claims through performance reviews for both insourced and outsourced claim fulfilment methods.
You will carry out effective quality reviews/audits of both internally handled desk claims and claims handled by our building suppliers.
Deliver technical training and support to customer-facing teams and suppliers, and evaluate technical referrals to identify capability and change opportunities.
Support external QA and SAT audits to evaluate supplier performance.
Skills and Experience
* Good knowledge of the insurance industry related to commercial property claims
* Strong buildings technical knowledge, including current best practices and buildings pathology; ability to review building repair scopes
* Experience managing stakeholders, including brokers and service providers, and resolving customer complaints
* Politically agile, skilled communicator/conflict manager, adaptable, and able to influence at all levels
* Good commercial awareness and understanding of the economic environment
