Teaching Assistant - L2 - St Julian's School
Salary: Grade 3, SCP 5 - 6, £24,790 - £25,183 Pro Rata

Governors at St Julian’s School are looking to appoint an outstanding Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in our specialist resource base for students with complex learning needs - Learning Development Centre (LDC).
The Learning Development Centre is Newport’s resource base for students with an individual development plan (IDP) or statement for special educational needs. The LDC has 60 places; 12 in each year group from Year 7 to Year 11. Students are taught a range of subjects by 5 specialist teachers supported by 10 teaching assistants. The LDC is very much a part of St Julian’s School. All students are in houses, take part in extracurricular events and visits and are represented on the Student Council.
We are seeking a teaching assistant who can work effectively in our school to provide quality learning experiences and raise standards of attainment. You will be an outstanding teaching assistant who can lead by example and develop enthusiastic, inquisitive and independent learners.

The working hours will be 32.5hrs per week; Monday - Friday 8.10am-3.10pm.
