This exciting locum position offers an attractive salary of £400 daily, along with weekends and 9-hour working days. We are looking for someone to begin immediately on an ongoing basis. As a locum Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly, gaining experience across various paediatric cases while earning a competitive daily rate. Work with children aged 5 to 18, supporting them through health-related issues and creating educational health and care plans (EHCP). What you will do: - Conduct initial assessments for children, identifying their specific needs and challenges. - Score, set targets, and write detailed reports for each child assessed. - Recommend interventions and refer children who require ongoing support to HCT therapy assistants. - Facilitate up to two in-depth assessments daily, dedicating 90 minutes to each session, plus time for administrative tasks. - Lead intervention sessions when necessary, each lasting 45 to 60 minutes plus associated admin. - Share comprehensive reports with parents, schools, GPs, and referrers to ensure a cohesive approach to the child's health plan. Requirements: - Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). - At least two years of experience in paediatric occupational therapy. - Preferably a car driver, enhancing the ability to manage offsite appointments and home visits.
