About the Role:
We're seeking an English Teacher for a permanent contract and fixed term maternity cover contract to meet the exceptional demand for our services.
As an English Teacher at Yarrow Heights School, you'll tailor the curriculum to meet each child's needs, ensuring they gain essential skills and knowledge for success. You'll ensure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher and Education Leadership Team.
Your responsibilities include:
· Teaching and providing effective delivery of the English curriculum.
· Adapting your lesson plans to the individualised learning needs of our pupils.
· Monitoring, recording and reporting on student progress.
· Contributing to and assisting in implementing initiatives related to the School Development Plan.

Requirements:
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); Newly qualified teachers welcome to apply.
· A Degree in English or a related field.
· Experience in SEN (Special Educational Needs) settings or a strong willingness to work in such environments.
· Full driving licence

Yarrow Heights School is a mixed 7-19, local authority funded, SEN day school for children, most of who are able learners with an EHCP and a diagnosis with ASC and associated needs.
At Yarrow Heights every pupil is valued and treated as an individual and with respect.
