We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Director to lead the finance function, focusing on strategic financial management and oversight of multiple companies across various regions, reporting directly to the CEO.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor a team of Finance Managers overseeing multiple geographic regions, ensuring consistent financial management practices.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the organization's goals, especially focusing on startups, franchise businesses, and technology sectors.
3. Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making, including due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
4. Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, implementing effective internal controls and ensuring adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
5. Optimize financial processes and systems (ERP), driving continuous improvement in efficiency and accuracy.
6. Manage financial risk through detailed financial analysis, business planning, and performance tracking.
7. Provide comprehensive financial reporting and insights to the CEO, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial results.
8. Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring all regions are compliant with financial regulations.
9. Establish and maintain a robust financial reporting framework that supports company growth and aligns with global best practices.
10. Collaborate closely with different departments to ensure alignment between financial strategies and overall business objectives.
11. Manage financial aspects of expansion in both the European and Middle Eastern markets.
Qualifications:
1. MBA from a reputable university.
2. CMA certification is required.
3. Must demonstrate strong knowledge of IFRS.
4. Fluency in English and Arabic is essential; proficiency in French is an added advantage.
Experience:
1. Over 16 years of experience in financial accounting, internal audit, financial analysis, and finance management.
2. Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions and due diligence processes.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage startups and franchise businesses, with a proven track record in driving growth.
4. Over 10 years of experience in the technology sector and financial services, with extensive exposure to business planning.
5. Solid experience in the European market, with a proven ability to manage a group of companies and lead financial operations across different regions.
6. Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
7. Hands-on experience in company restructuring, financial policy development, and the implementation of short- and long-term budgeting strategies.
8. Strong knowledge and experience in both EU and MENA markets, with a cultured and global perspective, having managed operations across various international locations.
