Role Purpose:
The Director role will provide valuation and advisory advice to clients, focusing on executing business development and client care. The role will deliver higher complexity valuations and reporting and supervise, review, and quality check the valuation work and processes completed by other members of the Valuation team.
This role will work primarily within the Commercial Regular valuation team carrying out valuations for institutions and REITS for financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct valuation and advisory work mainly for accounting and fund reporting purposes, including some loan security valuation work.
2. Responsible for business development activities and maintaining existing client relationships.
3. Support business expansion in key strategic growth areas and sectors.
4. Lead and support RFPs and pitch activities.
5. Close liaison with clients ensuring high quality advice is consistently delivered.
6. Active role in strategic team management and growth, including day-to-day team and line management duties, such as performance review, coaching, and development.
7. QRM compliance oversight, sign off conflict checks, and manage ClientIQ opportunity records up to execution.
8. Conduct physical property inspections and supervise and review output of inspections conducted by junior members of the team.
9. Valuation modelling (including DCF modelling), calculation, and sensitivity analysis of higher complexity work.
10. Enhancement to fulfil and deliver Client Reporting Requirements – sign off on client portals and data controllership requirements.
11. Review valuation work drafted by other members of the Valuation team to ensure quality and consistency and sign off for job completion.
12. Work with the Service Delivery team to ensure that execution is prioritised and completed.
13. Help with more complex revenue recognition tasks.
14. Integrate and collaborate with the wider CBRE network and other business lines.
15. Support with other value add tasks and internal initiatives for innovation and improvement.
16. Work flexibly across services within the Division and support other Sectors and Divisions as required.
Person Specification/Requirements:
1. MRICS qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years post-qualified experience.
2. Bachelor's degree or higher in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
3. Proven experience of managing client accounts.
4. Experience using valuation software and tools, such as Argus Enterprise & Developer and Excel.
5. Strong understanding of property market trends and factors influencing property values.
6. Strong knowledge of regulations and standards in property valuation.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
9. Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate where appropriate and meet deadlines.
10. Enjoys working under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
11. Valid UK driving licence.
