The role:
Based just a short drive from the beach and 8 miles outside of Newquay, our Cornwall office is the Moose Toys UK and European Hub. In the past 5 years we have experienced considerable growth, establishing ourselves as a Top 10 Toy company in the UK and one of the top gaining toy companies in Europe within Circana data. To support our continued growth, we are looking for a creative and strategic UK Marketing Director to join the team.
The key objectives of this role are to:
1. Develop and implement strategic consumer and trade marketing plans for the product portfolio across UK and Distributor markets.
2. Reporting to the VP Marketing and Brand Strategy and working in close alignment with our Global Marketing Team, this role will leverage global activity and localise for the UK, whilst also supporting the go to market strategy and marketing direction for our distributor partners across Europe.
3. Focus on planning and executing marketing plans that encompass media, digital, PR, events and retail marketing. Ensure activities are in-line with company objectives and within agreed budgets.
4. Responsible for leading and directing the marketing team in-line with their set objectives and overseeing their professional development into tier 1 marketing professionals.
Day to day responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: deliver against local marketing strategy and drive the team to deliver on the P&L and business growth plans.
2. Team Management: Lead, support and empower your team to excel. Driving both company goals and their individual growth and development.
3. Budgeting: Prepare and be accountable for your annual budget. Undertake forecasting and preparation of expenses and accruals. Collaborate with the Sales team on yearly budgets and monthly S&OP process.
4. Brand/Product Marketing: Develop and execute the annual marketing plans in close consultation with the VP Marketing and Brand Strategy/ Global Teams. With a focus on, but not limited to: PR, Media, Digital, Retail Marketing, Social Media, and Sales Promotions.
5. Digital: Work closely with Digital Marketing and Ecommerce teams to ensure our sales and marketing objectives are met across B2B and B2C activities.
6. Product Development: Advanced product knowledge, providing feedback on gaps or opportunities in the UK market.
7. Business Management: Accurately and swiftly read how Moose is performing in the market. Provide vision and direction. Full mastery of delivering profit via the P&L.
8. Value Creation: Demonstrate ability to drive transformational change/improvement to the way Moose does business in the UK. A steady stream of ideas/initiatives that lead to significant opportunities to increase revenue/profit.
Experience & qualifications:

* Previous experience: within the Toy industry, or with consumer products, is highly desirable.
* A degree or comparable: level qualification with a focus on Marketing.
* High standard of IT skills: to include Microsoft Office.
