The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes in the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences
* Maintain good order and ensure students stay on task with pre-prepared work
* Support students in their learning by answering questions and guiding them through set tasks
* Assist in lesson planning, preparation of resources, and marking where required
* Provide feedback on student progress and behaviour to teachers
* Support students with their individual learning needs, including those with additional educational requirements
* Promote positive behaviour and uphold school policies
* Assist in administrative duties, including record-keeping and coursework management
* Participate in school trips, events, and extracurricular activities

* GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications
* Computer literacy and a willingness to undertake First Aid training
* A strong sense of teamwork and adaptability
