An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Staff Experience and EDI Advisors to join the new Staff Experience and Culture Team, where the functions of staff experience, engagement, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion are now combined under one friendly and supportive team.
As part of this dynamic and ambitious model, we are looking for two advisors to work on the delivery of key projects that support the development of this exciting portfolio of work for the organisation and support stakeholders to engage with these strategic improvements.
Are you passionate about the health and wellbeing of our diverse NHS staff community?
Driven by our 9 pillars of staff experience and wellbeing, you will see the value in expanding our offer to staff to ensure all employees can access appropriate support when needed, building their own resilience to ultimately provide better patient care. You will also help us become a more inclusive workforce while being able to better respond to our diverse patient needs.
If you have lived experience and/or a well-developed understanding of protected characteristics, together with a passion for improving organisational culture where all staff can be their authentic selves and share their voice - we strongly recommend that you apply for this position.
We believe that the demands of this role require full time hours; however, we would consider alternative flexible working requests for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Educated to degree level or equivalent professional knowledge, this role would suit someone who has previous experience of working in a unionised environment within HR Generalist/OD, EDI, staff engagement or staff experience and is keen to develop their skills and impact in this area of work.
You will be skilled at researching and suggesting innovative ways to improve the working lives of our diverse workforce. Through solid data evaluation and analysis, you will make recommendations on appropriate interventions with an inclusive lens and deliver engaging presentations which demonstrate your ability to communicate to a wide variety of different staff groups.
Key to shaping this work is listening to our collective staff voice and ensuring they can express their views through local engagement events, the quarterly People Pulse and the national NHS staff survey. You will implement the delivery of these surveys to ensure we have greater representative voice in survey data from all our colleagues.
Through well-written and engaging communications you will help develop our staff intranet and share updates through a wide range of internal publications and policies.
