Main duties of the job
Working as part of a specialty team, the post holder will be the first point of contact and offer support to ensure patients are afforded a professional and caring service within the necessary clinical timescales. The post holder will be responsible for elements of their care throughout the pathway. You will be responsible for admitting and discharging patients, outpatient reception duties and ensuring pre and post admission information is sent to the relevant person(s).

Person Specification
Education and qualifications
* Good Level of General Education
* NVQ 2 in Administration or willingness to work towards
Occupational experience and abilities
* Effective Team Player/ability to work on own initiative
* Previous experience of working in a customer services environment/Good formal and informal communication skills verbal and written
* Experience of scheduling/coordinating activities/Time management skills
* Understanding confidentiality issues
* Ability to deal with irate and worried people
* Flexible
* Calm under pressure
* Evidence of ongoing personal development
