An opportunity has presented itself within the Business Support Service for an enthusiastic and confident individual who can rise to the challenges of a busy support service.
This role is situated within the team that supports the Education Directorate and will be providing a high-quality administrative service. The main functions of the role include:
Supporting the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) team in the introduction and implementation of the new Capita IDP platform. The role will involve working with the ALN team to introduce the ALN Coordinators in schools and other stakeholders to the new software and the specific requirements for Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
Assisting with the planned developments of the Capita suite of software, which will involve working alongside the Corporate Performance team to help with the implementation and subsequent support for new and upgraded modules.
Assisting the team in the creation of ID cards for Council staff.
Assisting the team in its support for the wider Education Directorate services, which will include Admissions, Additional Learning Needs and Education Welfare support.
Qualifications for the position are 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C or above (including Maths and English), NVQ Level 2 and ECDL or equivalent.
Experience of working in a business support environment or within a school and dealing with a wide variety of requests and issues, together with a rounded knowledge of Council services will be of great advantage in this role.
