Purpose: To maintain and repair to a measured quality standard waste vacuum tankers, HGV’s, trailers and other tanker types at TIP workshops or occasionally off-site repairs. Responsibilities: To inspect, service and repair tankers (primarily vacuum waste tankers) to a high maintenance standard Highlight all potential business commercial opportunities to line manager To ensure all compliance details are completed in an accurate and timely manner To ensure all company vehicles are driven and operated at all times in accordance with road traffic law and company policy and to ensure that you adhere to the Company Mobile Van Policy. To undertake all required training as deemed necessary by the company Provide high customer service levels whilst working to specified deadlines Must always adhere to the company’s health & safety policies and procedures Conduct oneself in a consistent manner that always demonstrates TIP values & behavioursQualifications/Requirements: Time served experience working with tankers (preferably waste tankers) or HGV types (including trucks and trailers) would be an advantage Experience in similar fields to road tankers would be considered, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, plant machinery or other similar vehicle types. City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications in a similar areas would be an advantage High level of enthusiasm & good communication skills Basic knowledge of computers and ability to complete relevant written documentation Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines Initiative to work autonomously if required. Salary: Highly competitive rates dependent on experience/qualifications and location £500 Joining fee - Payable after 12 months service. Great opportunity for overtime at time and a half, Sundays and BH are paid at double time. Job type: Permanent full-time – 9.5 hour shift, Mon-Fri with 30 mins paid break per day and 30 mins per day unpaid lunch break.
