We are looking to recruit an experienced software developer to join the Learning Technologies team to work on the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of web-based applications and interfaces. The candidate must have prior experience working as a software developer.
As this post is funded by NHS monies, its remit is primarily for software developments relating to clinical placements medical students undertake in the NHS, in liaison with the University’s Medical School. The post is based in the Medical School on the Foresterhill campus.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) or have equivalent relevant experience.
You will have experience working as a software developer, using back and front-end development technologies to deliver bespoke software solutions.
You will be conversant with object-oriented principles and have exposure to popular PHP development frameworks, such as Laravel.
Experience working as part of a multi-disciplined team in an Agile environment is beneficial, as is experience using project tracking tools, such as Jira.
You will possess excellent analytical skills and have a high degree of attention to detail. You will be able to take initiative when needed and can collaborate with a broad range of both technical and non-technical users throughout the Medical School and NHS.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 6, £37,999 - £45,163 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
