Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a strong understanding of culinary practices. As a Butcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of meat products while providing exceptional service to our customers. Your expertise in food safety and preparation will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications.
2. Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including tools and equipment.
4. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
5. Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfil orders efficiently and accurately.
6. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding meat cuts and preparation methods.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food production and butchery techniques.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a butcher role or similar position within the culinary or restaurant industry is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to meat handling.
3. Familiarity with various cutting techniques and equipment used in food preparation.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.

Pay: £38,800.00 per year
