Contract: Fixed Term/Secondment - Up to 12 Months Closing date: Tuesday 28th January Recruitment Partner: Shannon Linton This is an exciting opportunity to support with the delivery and maintenance of the Boots Quality Management System relating to pharmacy services, trials, studies and continual improvement. This 12-month secondment is field-based requiring national travel and occasional overnight stays away, plus intermittent attendance at our Support Office site in Nottingham. About the role Healthcare service offerings are expanding, with many opportunities now requiring an increasing focus on and commitment to quality. Providers expect a Quality Management System and a dedicated Quality Team to be in place for opportunities such as Testing & Diagnostic Services, Research Studies and Clinical Trials. The Quality Technical Support & Audit Specialist role sits within the Superintendent Pharmacist’s Office team, and reports into the Quality Manager. You will work with the Quality Manager, audit team, Superintendent Pharmacist’s wider team, external stakeholders and regulators to support the quality agenda by: • Supporting the management and development of the Quality Management System • Working in partnership with commercial team members to enable the embedding of quality within new service/study/trial initiatives and build consistency and continuous improvement metrics into services as they evolve • Supporting with the audit of stores that are engaged in the delivery of new service/study/trial initiatives • Supporting with the investigation of incidents, complaints and audit issues as required by the Quality Manager • Monitoring quality KPIs for customer complaints and feedback, incidents, third party performance, audits, health and safety/clinical measures and contractual KPIs, escalating instances of shortfall to the Quality Manager and preparing status updates for monthly internal governance reporting What you’ll need to have • Experienced pharmacy technician or quality professional with a understanding of good governance and audit • Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management • Experience of complaint resolution and incident management • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with meticulous attention to detail • Ability to adapt and to be flexible to meet the demands of the business with pace • Good organisational skills to be able to manage a varied and demanding workload • Intermediate computer skills and the ability to adopt or contribute to the digital transformation agenda • Demonstrable commitment to ongoing personal improvement and WBA/Boots UK core values • Full clean driving licence and car It would be great if you also have • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems • Project management experience Our benefits Boots Retirement Savings Plan Discretionary annual bonus Generous employee discounts Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child Flexible benefits scheme including holiday buying, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and more.
