A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our new Respiratory Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC) which will be based on the Respiratory Assessment Unit, Morton Ward.
The Unit will assess Respiratory patients with the view to triaging, assessing, and discharging on the same day.
The opening hours will be Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. You will also be expected to support the Respiratory Assessment Unit.

Main Duties of the Job
1. Leading the SDEC team, working alongside the medical team.
2. Supporting junior staff and student nurses.

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate should be motivated and have the ability to inspire staff and have previous experience and evidence of implementing changes and embedding good practice into the culture of our department. It is essential that you are able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to support the development of the stroke service. The successful applicant needs to have excellent organisational and time management skills with an aptitude for problem-solving. You must have excellent clinical knowledge and skills, demonstrated through completion of competency packages. You will need to be a good communicator, be self-motivated, provide high standards of clinical skills, and have the ability to influence and drive innovative practice within a fast-growing and exciting specialty setting.

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum pro rata
